  • Ability to oversee multiple engagements and multitask on internal operations and engagement deliverables.
  • Proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to quickly learn other business tools as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the design, development, and delivery of client solutions for the consulting practice.
  • Design, plan, and execute client engagements.
  • Research, pursue, and document potential business opportunities.
  • Support and manage the proposal development process, including responding to requests for information and sources sought, proposal writing, and proposal delivery.
  • Manage client relationships and deliverables, including long-term C-suite relationships.
  • Develop consulting teams and communicate with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Conduct business development activities by coordinating or leading proposal and engagement teams.
  • Develop sales strategies covering targeted accounts, account planning, consulting service packaging, proposal development, and deal-closing processes.
  • Implement strategic sales action plans, manage practice action plans, grow sales, create new service offerings, and provide thought leadership.
  • Provide oversight and management of professional consultants to ensure consistent, high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and visits to maximize close ratios.
  • Work with business development teams to close new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, including financial or business modeling, research, data collection, and analysis.
  • Create service mixes and client-specific solutions that address unique business needs and produce measurable outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and present solutions and recommendations.
  • Structure and perform analyses and conduct primary research to support client recommendations.
  • Strengthen market presence through articles, conference speaking, publishing, client case studies, and on-site evaluations.
  • Contribute thought leadership, project-support artifacts, analytical concepts, frameworks, and intellectual capital.
  • Present at team and client meetings and determine practical ways to drive lasting results.
  • Develop, coach, and recruit consulting team members.
  • Lead engagement teams on complex projects and develop junior team members.
  • Contribute to employee performance appraisals and annual contract-employee reviews.
  • Provide project-management oversight, supervision, and leadership while building a consulting team that delivers quality projects.
  • Assume ownership of projects while leading a team.
  • Delegate or accept delegation to promote client-engagement opportunities and client relationships.
  • Support corporate and business-unit strategy, regulatory-compliance initiatives, business-process reviews and improvements, organizational effectiveness and optimization, and training and talent-management initiatives.
  • Champion the development and implementation of best practices and programs.
  • Develop effective retention and recruitment strategies for the practice.
  • Establish, communicate, and guide relevant objectives, measurable goals, and performance standards.
  • Lead and manage through influence in a matrix organization.
  • Lead initiatives to assess productivity and throughput and optimize resources.
  • Work with senior management on strategic and tactical plans, sales goals, pipeline growth, new sales opportunities, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to maintain consulting standards and meet client needs.
