Responsibilities
Safely operate a large commercial vehicle to transport goods, make timely deliveries, maintain vehicle safety, and comply with Federal and company regulations.
Pick up and drop off products at all Cannon Industries and Burnett Process facilities.
Assist Material Handlers with lifting, banding, and shrink-wrapping parts ready for transport.
Deliver and pick up products from outside services.
Deliver and pick up products from the purchasing department.
Check incoming packages or individual items for correct quantity, inspect outer containers for damage, and note irregularities on the carrier's bill of lading.
Maintain a log of all parts and products transported throughout the facility, ensuring quantities are correct and proper quality paperwork is attached where applicable.
Perform maintenance checks and check fluid levels, including fuel, before starting transport.
Work with the supervisor to ensure all permits and Department of Transportation requirements are up to date.
Keep the truck and box van clean and free of debris inside and outside.
Inspect the truck and box van for damage before starting transport.

General Job Description:
