Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to determine the technical approach or solution for meeting system-level requirements and successfully completing FPGA-based designs on time and on budget.
  • Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers as needed.
  • Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept through production.
  • Work cooperatively with systems, hardware, and software engineers, and program management to ensure product success.
  • Architect FPGA-based systems to determine components, interfaces, and the concept of operations.
  • Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements.
  • Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
  • Verify designs using self-checking techniques with directed and constrained-random tests while tracking functional and code coverage.
  • Create complete documentation, including requirements, verification plans, and user guides.
  • Support internal and external technical reviews.
  • Develop and implement digital signal processing algorithms and FPGA-based designs for interface communications, controls, and/or data processing applications.
  • Provide development support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept through acceptance delivery and maintenance.

Desired Qualifications
