Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Clasp announced a $20M Series B on March 26, 2026, funding expansion.
  • Remote launched US Benefits powered by Clasp on April 28, 2026.
  • Beam integration expands Clasp into dental, vision, life, disability, and supplemental health.

What critics are saying

  • Paylocity, Gusto, and Paychex own payroll workflows, compressing Clasp's distribution by 2026.
  • Remote and Beam can disintermediate Clasp by building direct integrations and white-label controls.
  • If carrier or payroll integrations break, brokers lose trust and churn within one renewal cycle.

What makes Clasp unique

  • Clasp embeds benefits administration into Remote and payroll platforms, not standalone broker portals.
  • Its APIs automate enrollments, ACA, COBRA, and payroll deductions end-to-end.
  • Beam called Clasp its first live ancillary partner in April 2026.
