Requirements
  • 5+ years technical network engineering experience
  • Strong Knowledge and hands-on experience working with networking protocols
  • Experience with Linux systems and shells, daemons, and processes
  • Experience with programming languages, like Python or Go
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating distributed services and monitoring for production networks
  • Passion for driving continual improvement initiatives in our network
  • Experience with AWS/Cloud based infrastructure
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for managing instrumentation, automation, and orchestration
Responsibilities
  • Deploy new network tooling focusing on scalability, reliability, and security
  • Write code to help monitor, configure, validate, and operate the corporate network
  • Excel in a rapidly evolving environment, adapt quickly to new information, and reprioritize as needed
  • Develop and maintain consistency within the networking infrastructure
  • Participate in a regular on-call rotation and work non-standard hours during network changes
  • Travel to Gusto offices once per quarter for implementation, driving of projects, and troubleshooting
  • Partner with security and infrastructure teams to develop and maintain key resources
