Requirements
  • At least one year of loss prevention experience in a full-service hotel is required.
  • Hotel experience is required for consideration.
  • TABC certification is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • The position requires excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
  • Issue keys to designated hotel personnel, maintain accurate records, and safeguard the keys according to hotel procedures.
  • Identify non-hotel personnel arriving at the employee entrance and verify their purpose for being on the property.
  • Inspect employee packages, purses, bags, and similar items as employees enter or leave the property in accordance with hotel policy.
  • Ensure after-hours access to secured hotel areas is properly authorized, monitored, and documented according to hotel standards.
  • Work cooperatively with outside agencies such as the police.
  • Coordinate emergency situations.
  • Investigate duress alarms and follow the applicable procedures.
  • Patrol the property, check designated points, and document actions according to departmental standards.
  • Resolve safety hazards and emergency medical situations.
  • Conduct investigations into theft, lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, food-poisoning complaints, and other guest complaints, and complete reports according to departmental procedures.
  • Respond promptly to guest or employee accidents, administer first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to guidelines, and provide specified information to emergency medical services or medical personnel as required.
  • Patrol parking lots and grounds.
