Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, healthcare, life sciences, or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology market access, payer engagement, regional accounts, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success working with regional commercial health plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, state Medicaid agencies, regional Blue plans, and other regional payer organizations.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. reimbursement and market access, including Medicaid policy, managed care, commercial health plans, Medicare Part D, specialty pharmacy, and evolving payer dynamics.
  • Experience supporting payer reviews, value communication, reimbursement strategy, and implementation of clinically appropriate utilization management approaches.
  • Experience supporting pre-launch and launch activities, including account planning, payer strategy, value communication, and cross-functional commercialization.
  • Experience in CNS, specialty pharmaceuticals, rare disease, or other complex therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect regional market dynamics to commercial performance and patient access.
  • A high degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and accountability.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50–70% based on business needs.
  • The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. You’ll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for regional commercial health plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, state Medicaid agencies, regional Blue plans, and other priority payer organizations throughout the designated region.
  • Build trusted relationships with regional payer leaders responsible for formulary management, reimbursement strategy, utilization management, and coverage policy.
  • Communicate the clinical, economic, and value proposition of Praxis therapies to support favorable coverage and reimbursement decisions.
  • Partner with regional payer stakeholders to support clinically appropriate utilization management criteria that align with the approved label, available evidence, and patient needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and communicate regional payer intelligence that informs pricing, evidence generation, commercialization strategy, launch planning, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Identify access barriers and emerging opportunities across the region, partnering internally to develop solutions that improve patient access and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate closely with National Payer Engagement, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment between national strategy and regional execution.
  • Monitor changes in Medicaid policy, regional reimbursement trends, competitive dynamics, and payer management approaches that may impact Praxis therapies.
  • Support launch readiness activities and represent Praxis as a trusted partner throughout regional payer engagements.
