Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Altera’s outward-facing embedded processing narrative and positioning across the embedded software stack, processor and peripherals, and the real-time operating system and operating system ecosystem.
  • Lead messaging for core innovations, including Hard Processing Systems, Nios V RISC-V soft intellectual property processors, and the application stacks and strategies.
  • Build inward- and outward-facing narratives that connect embedded features to business outcomes and map customer needs to Altera solutions.
  • Develop customer-facing assets, including solution briefs, whitepapers, blogs, website product pages, sales presentations, and executive decks.
  • Equip sales teams with embedded-focused pitch decks, competitive positioning and objection handling, and use-case- and vertical-specific messaging.
  • Analyze competitive embedded positioning to develop differentiated messaging highlighting system-on-chip capabilities.
  • Identify emerging trends and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Revise a clear, differentiated Altera embedded narrative within the first 6 to 12 months.
  • Deliver messaging around Altera’s embedded leadership.
  • Enable sales with embedded solution positioning and tools.
  • Launch campaigns aligned to advancing go-to-market efforts for new Hard Processing Systems solutions.

Altera adds post-quantum cryptography to Agilex 3 and Agilex 5 FPGAs

Altera has added post-quantum cryptography support to its Agilex 3 and Agilex 5 FPGAs, helping protect long-life systems against quantum-era threats. The devices now offer PQC-enabled secure boot and additional security features through the Secure Device Manager, including bitstream encryption, anti-tamper support, and key management. The reprogrammable architecture allows customers to adapt their designs as security requirements evolve. "Customers building long-life systems need confidence that the hardware they choose today can adapt to tomorrow's security requirements," said Mike Fitton, vice president of product and corporate marketing at Altera. PQC-enabled Agilex 3 and Agilex 5 devices are shipping today, supported by Quartus Prime Pro Edition 26.1.1 software.

Altera appoints Kirsten Spears and Sumit Sadana to board as independent directors

Altera Corporation has appointed two independent directors to its board: Kirsten Spears and Sumit Sadana.
