  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A favorably adjudicated Tier 3 investigation at the Secret level is required before performance starts.
  • IT-II certification and a successfully adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation are required to obtain an elevated-privilege account on the Air Force Network.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card for installation and network access is required.
  • Full qualification under Department of Defense 8140 DCWF standards for Work Role 451: System Administrator, Intermediate level, is required no later than the first day of performance.
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, printers, scanners, and standard peripherals in accordance with AFNETOPS and local Communications Unit guidance, including SDC/FDCC deployment, patching, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting financial and enterprise applications, with the ability to provide same-day response and resolution or escalation of application, operating system, database, and server malfunctions within eight hours of notification.
  • Working knowledge of standard off-the-shelf microcomputer software packages, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain staff workstations in accordance with AFNETOPS and local Communications Unit guidance, applying SDC/FDCC, patch updates, and configuration changes, and creating exemption groups for PCs running legacy web-based applications such as KOFAX, DTS, and PIEE.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot required financial applications, including DEAMS, DTS, CRIS, DJMS, IAPS, JOCAS, and ADVANA, and facilitate upgrades upon release.
  • Provide same-day response to troubleshoot, analyze, and initiate resolution or escalation for reported application, operating system, database, and server malfunctions within a maximum of eight hours of notification.
  • Manage the operability of HQ ACC/FM telecommunications, supporting iPhones, Voice over Internet Protocol telephones, conference-room projection equipment, video teleconferencing systems, and government-issued mobile devices.
  • Add, move, upgrade, or patch an average of 50–65 PCs or peripherals weekly; set up and relocate hardware; unpack, inspect, and test incoming computer hardware; maintain printer consumables; and handle warranty service calls.
  • Provide one-on-one training on Microsoft Office, Windows, Power BI, and Air Force-sanctioned telework tools without interfering with operations, and deliver hardware/software acquisition recommendations and technology-refresh status in a detailed monthly status report.
  • Serve as the Information Technology Asset Manager and Equipment Custodian by maintaining inventory control over accountable IT items in accordance with AFMAN 17-1203, conducting inventories, maintaining hand receipts, and processing timely disposal of excess material.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with financial-management applications, including AFM, CDS, CRIS, DEAMS, DJMS, DMO, DTS, EOM, FM Suite, IAPS, JOCAS, ADVANA, Leave Web, and PIEE.
  • Knowledge of Air Force and Department of War financial systems and their application environment.
  • Knowledge of the Air Force IT equipment accountability program, including ITAM and AFMAN 17-1203, wireless devices, and applicable peripherals.
  • Experience serving in embedded unit roles such as Information Assurance Officer, Information Technology Asset Manager, Equipment Custodian, and Telephone Control Operator.
