Requirements
  • Possess active COMPTIA A+ and Security+ Certifications.
  • Microsoft Technology Specialist Certification (Microsoft Windows 7 and 10).
  • Acquire, possess, and maintain appropriate Computing Environment Certification for Windows 10 or current computing certificate as directed by the Department of Defense.
  • Acquire, possess, and maintain appropriate certification as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Windows 10.
  • Acquire, possess, and maintain current knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Office products, and Adobe products.
  • DoD Secret Clearance eligibility.
  • The candidate shall possess or be able to obtain and maintain SECRET access eligibility through a NACLC or equivalent security clearance investigation adjudicated by the Department of Defense.
  • The candidate shall be a United States Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
  • Shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including Federal Law, New Mexico and Texas State Laws, OSHA regulations, Army and installation regulations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as required (TDY).
  • Must be prepared to travel to Germany, Republic of Korea, Japan, Poland, and travel throughout the Continental United States as required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform IT Help Desk Services (Level 1 & 2 category support) on both the computer network and telephone system supporting a user base of around 300 people.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot devices on the network including desktop computers, laptops, printers, fax machines, and ancillary items as well as telephones and telephone service.
  • Troubleshoot problems with desktop computers, network connectivity, phones, and other peripherals via phone, email, or in person until the work order is complete.
  • Support existing and newly acquired hardware and software including Windows 7 or Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013 Suite, Adobe Professional X, and Adobe Professional Suite, and Microsoft Outlook setup.
  • Maintain a 90% operational capability on a variety of technical systems owned and operated by the government customer, including maintenance, updating, backup, and restoration as required.
  • All tasks to be conducted in accordance with government IT standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • PC and Software Troubleshooting: serve as initial point of contact for IS users and troubleshoot PCs and software problems within eight business hours; provide a monthly summary of actions.
  • Printer/Copier/Fax Support: configure, test, and add printers/copiers/fax machines to the FBCAN network; perform minor troubleshooting within four business hours; notify IMO for warranty/maintenance when needed; maintain logs; provide monthly summary.
  • Help Desk Support: respond to and support all requests for services; run the Help Desk on a daily basis; manage requests from Stakeholder User Group and Mission Support Representative personnel; coordinate prioritization with IMO; take appropriate action to resolve software/hardware/connectivity issues; perform Telephone Control Officer duties; provide monthly summary of actions.
  • Communications Support: answer calls and respond to electronic mail to resolve issues with telephones and telephone service within four business hours; resolve or route to appropriate source; provide monthly summary.
  • Live Field Experiment Support: coordinate with Army and non-Army organizations; on-site configuration and software support for Live Field Experiment; on-site trouble-response for telephones, wireless devices, and LAN issues; image computers and connect to LAN; troubleshoot LAN cables; report and coordinate resolution within two business hours; provide monthly summary.
