Requirements
  • Completion of a Health Care Aide qualification or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A clear criminal record security clearance including the Vulnerable Sector component, issued no more than six months ago.
  • Physical fitness to perform lifting and transferring and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the general wellbeing of residents through the delivery of high-quality services consistent with the organization's policies, procedures, and philosophies.
  • Provide basic assessments and treatments, personal care, medication administration, and delegated health services to residents.
  • Provide support and direction to care team members.
  • Support Sprucewood policies and procedures and conduct yourself professionally in all situations.
