Job Title: Assistant Supervisor
We are currently seeking a high energy, self-starting individual to supervise a Residential IRA in Brooklyn, New York. A person'smanagerial and clinical skills will be maximized in an interdisciplinary team environment, where thereisongoing supportand training.
TheResidential Assistant Supervisor is responsible forproviding staff training, mentoring,and supervision of 5-15directreports. TheAssistantSupervisor will need to be able to provide program oversight, quality assurance,maintainNYSregulations, oversee clinical programming, be an advocate for the people we support,and be a liaison with families.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working directly with people of all ages with Intellectual and DevelopmentalDisabilities(I/DD), creating new opportunities for Living, Loving, Working, and Learning.We are looking foran enthusiasticandenergetic Assistant Supervisor to work with this active group of people, whocanhandle challengingsituations with patience and understanding.

- Ensuring the health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support is consistent with agency philosophy anddepartment practice.
- Ensuring theappropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision in the residence, day program orcommunity to ensure and protect the health and/or safety of the people we support.
- Providing program/floor coverage.
- Promoting andmaintainingthe excellence of our programs.
- Involving family members and other stake holders, including professionals, in the team process.
-Keeping staff informed by attending meetings and consistently delivering YAI's mission statement.
- Fostering professional development through regular supervision, training, andevaluations.
- Supervising staff to ensure that they meet the needs of the people we support, agency standards, and developprofessionally through the supervisory process.
- Bringing the organizational culture to life.
- Ensuring a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination.
- Activelyparticipatingin the hiring process.
-Maintainingdirectrelationshipswith staff.
-Utilizingparticipatory management.
- Fostering the Open-Door Policy.
- Nurturing staff development Supervising/Managing teams.
-Maintainingoversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities.
- Fostering communication between relevant supports including those within the program, within the agency, andsupportsoutside the agency.
- Required to perform your responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of thedepartment, under the supervision of your supervisor/manager.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior Direct Support Professional experience
- Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health

Schedule:
Full-Time only
Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm - 11:00pm (may vary depending on location)
Compensation:
$23.10/hour - $23.10/hour
