Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Has the ability to work in any of the outpatient facilities and able to perform and produce diagnostic imaging in at least three of the following Ultrasound imaging areas with two being General and Vascular and the third being either specialized Breast and/or Pediatric and/or MSK Ultrasound imaging. Has adequate breast Ultrasound experience to be a traveling breast imaging specialist that will work when needed at any of the breast care locations but will also precept, train, and orient all new staff in breast imaging at all of the breast care locations.

Qualifications

Requirements for Ultrasound Specials Technologists: Certified in at least two of the following areas of Ultrasound depending on the Ultrasound services provided at the center. The areas include General, Vascular, Pediatric, Musculoskeletal, and/or Breast.

 Must be able to perform Ultrasound exams in at least three of the services provided at the center.

 All sonographers must obtain certification within one year of hire date or cross training.)

 Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment

7:30 AM - 4 PM
