- Completion of an accredited two-year or four-year program in radiologic technology accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or attainment of registration within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support training or retraining during orientation before providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support certification maintained through retraining for the duration of employment.
- Intravenous certification before or during new-hire orientation.
- Assess patient condition.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians with procedures.
- Assist in maintaining patient and room workflow.
- Participate in quality management activities.
- Experience is preferred but not required.
