Responsibilities
Review and update newly submitted loan applications for accuracy.
Communicate directly with dealership and refinance partners to resolve loan file issues.
Collect and review supporting documents required to process loan applications.
Calculate gross monthly income using submitted documentation.
Document all actions taken in the electronic loan origination computer system.
Review loan origination documents for accuracy and compliance.
Review all loan application information and documents before funding the loan.
Verify the loan product and interest rate are accurate before funding the loan.
Fund and originate new loans, including disbursing loan proceeds to designated payees.
Open new membership accounts, including verifying field-of-membership eligibility.
Verify that all policy and procedural requirements were met during the funding process.
Follow up promptly and resolve loan files missing items that prevent funding.
Manage a personal queue of loan applications to maximize productivity.
Ensure loan documents are archived for records retention.
Provide administrative support to the department as needed.
Desired Qualifications
General knowledge of lending industry regulations, including Regulation B, Regulation D, Regulation E, Regulation Z, Regulation CC, Regulation DD, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, anti-money laundering rules, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Military Lending Act.
Indirect Lending Member Service Representative
Job Summary: In this role, you will assist members, staff and third-party partners with general aspects of indirect consumer lending for the credit union. You’ll review newly approved consumer loan applications for accuracy. Collect and review supporting loan documentation. Accurately open new membership accounts in preparation of loan origination. Verify loan product, terms, and interest rate are accurate prior to funding. Timely and accurate origination of consumer indirect vehicle loans. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Effective follow-up and resolution for missing documentation on pending loan files
Salary: $20.00- $26.00 Per Hour Depending on Experience
