Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic, mechatronic, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in equipment engineering, with a proven track record in solar cells, semiconductors, or electronics industries, is required.
  • Extensive expertise in solar cell production equipment, including screen printing, PECVD, diffusion, wet benches, and metallization, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale equipment projects and implement advanced technical solutions is required.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical process control, failure mode and effects analysis, design of experiments, and Fishbone analysis is required.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams is required.
  • Willingness to travel, work extended hours, and support 24/7 factory operations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment issues to minimize disruption to production.
  • Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to lead large-scale equipment projects, including upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for solar cell production technologies and equipment optimization.
  • Analyze equipment performance data, identify trends, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Drive safety improvements and ensure equipment operations comply with regulatory standards.
  • Present reports and recommendations on equipment performance, maintenance strategies, and project outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Support 24/7 operations by addressing critical equipment challenges and providing leadership during tool recovery efforts.
