Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
  • The candidate must be able to learn, carry out, and become certified in CPI physical interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • The candidate must be able to learn, carry out, and become certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.
  • The candidate must be available for first, second, or third awake-overnight shifts, or combinations of these shifts, depending on program needs.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and maintain the safety of adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18.
  • Deliver services in a culturally competent manner.
  • Support youth in developing daily living and coping skills.
  • Implement interventions associated with treatment and service plan goals as required.
  • Participate in de-escalation and physical interventions with youth when required.
  • Drive youth to school, appointments, and recreational activities.
  • Implement and adhere to the program's behavioral support system.
  • Act as a positive role model for youth and coworkers by treating them with respect, dignity, understanding, and fairness.
  • Dispense medication in accordance with proper protocol, policies, and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • One year of experience working with adolescents is preferred but not required.
  • Residential experience is preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as the Department of Mental Health and Department of Children and Families is preferred.
  • Additional languages are desirable but not required.
