Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete standardized written documentation and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in one-on-one and small-group situations.
  • Ability to perform basic electronic tasks using computer software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to stand and use hands and fingers to manipulate raw materials, finished parts, and cutting tools.
  • Ability to twist at the waist 180 degrees repetitively.
  • Ability to squat or bend and repetitively lift up to 15 pounds to place parts on a machine at chest level.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 16 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally squat and lift fixtures weighing up to 75 pounds to chest level with assistance.
  • Ability to regularly reach overhead with one arm to adjust a setup dial.
Responsibilities
  • Pull finished laser-cut parts from load tables and stack them on carts.
  • Operate hand and air tools and electric grinders.
  • Verify part counts against the number of parts nested by the laser programmer.
  • Locate parts that have fallen to the ground through the table grates.
  • Complete Work Order paperwork accurately.
  • Attach applicable part tags.
  • Move laser-cut parts to the correct locations based on the next operation specified on the Job Travelers.
  • Empty slag pans daily.
  • Clean the floor under the load table daily at specified times.
  • Complete daily 5S requirements.
  • Clean the lasers weekly.
  • Assist with other duties as requested by the trainer, manager, or supervisor.
