Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in progressive hotel roles.
  • Previous Assistant General Manager experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Strong management skills for large teams.
  • Developed time management skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the hotel, including front office, sales, housekeeping, human resources, food and beverage, maintenance, and accounting.
  • Serve as a model for maintaining a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented demeanor in interactions with guests and hotel staff.
  • Maintain open communication among hotel leaders and develop a high-quality staff aligned with expected guest-service standards.
  • Manage financials, profit and loss, and payroll to maintain profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with local and state licensing and permit requirements.
  • Maintain property security and safety systems and ensure required inspections and maintenance are completed.
  • Drive property-wide improvements in staff training and development to support high-quality guest service and consistent guest returns.
  • Maintain professional working relationships and open communication with managers, employees, and other departments.
  • Communicate ideas, development goals, and tasks to team members and follow up on delegated tasks.
  • Proactively identify property issues and resolve them before they disrupt hotel operations.
  • Analyze data and information from multiple sources to develop solutions beneficial to the business.
  • Receive and address concerns from hotel guests and staff in an attentive and professional manner.
  • Delegate tasks to the most qualified staff members.
  • Produce financial results aligned with budgeted objectives.
