  • Proven track record of building and scaling security organizations as a Director or higher in high-growth, public SaaS companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills that inspire collaboration and drive alignment across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution to respond to evolving security needs.
  • Strong hands-on experience in deploying secure coding practices, automation, threat modeling and application security solutions.
  • Strong experience in securing products in highly dynamic cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Strong understanding of modern application architectures, including microservices, containerization, and cloud-native applications.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Compliance and Legal teams to lead and support security-related audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and fostering a unified approach to risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices, including FedRAMP, NIST 800-53.
Responsibilities
  • Define, develop, and execute a forward-looking product security strategy aligned with business goals and emerging threats.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in security, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture where team members are empowered to excel and grow.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design, implement, and operate secure systems that protect PagerDuty’s cloud environment and ensure the safety of customer data.
  • Build a developer-centric security program, embedding security into engineering artifacts, processes, and tooling for seamless integration.
  • Drive complex, cross-functional security initiatives to systematically eliminate common risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring security is 'engineered-in' at every stage.
  • Develop and maintain technical solutions to proactively address security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with tech leads and executive leadership to review technical designs and implement architectural improvements, balancing security, reliability, and performance.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of security incidents, from investigation to resolution, responding effectively to any security breaches or related events.
  • Develop and track metrics and KPIs to measure product security effectiveness, continuously improving security posture and aligning with organizational goals.
