- Own reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 45 minutes one way to class locations.
- Commit to a 10-week season from September through mid-November.
- Have experience in or a strong desire to work in a youth soccer club environment.
- Be motivated, energetic, patient, attentive, adaptable, hands-on, dynamic, and outgoing.
- Be able to work with different age groups.
- Possess a minimum of a grassroots coaching license.
- Have availability for weekday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and/or weekend mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Act as the face and product of Soccer Stars in each class by interacting with parents, directors, club board members, and children.
- Deliver energetic and enjoyable coaching sessions in line with Soccer Stars' progressive curriculum.
- Report directly to the territory manager on all aspects of the coaching role.
- Engage and challenge players, help them accomplish development goals and milestones, and inspire a love of soccer in a fun, team-based environment.
- Clearly communicate issues to the leadership team and develop solutions to challenges.
- Arrive punctually for all training sessions and games, allowing enough time for commuting to locations.
- Provide hands-on individual and group attention to players during training sessions.
- Identify and recommend players for advanced Soccer Stars United programming with the club.
- Prior experience working with children.
