Requirements

Less than one year of long-term care experience is required.
A Registered Nurse license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required upon hire.
CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute is required within 30 days.
Weekend shifts are required.
Irregular shifts are required.

Responsibilities

Assign duties to professional and non-professional staff according to their education, training, policy, and resident needs. Engage team members for optimal performance and address performance as needed to ensure quality resident care.
Develop, implement, and evaluate resident plans of care. Communicate plans of care to providers, residents, families, and staff. Identify changes in condition and document them according to the Interact process. Follow through to support positive resident outcomes, use sound judgment and specialized skills, and manage a typical nursing unit.
Allow resident choices within capability limits while considering safety and dignity, and follow facility policies and procedures regarding resident privacy and dignity.

Desired Qualifications

Two years of LPN experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting is preferred.
One year of RN experience is preferred.

Overview
Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. Assesses, plans, implements, and executes delivery of resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service to assure positive resident outcomes. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.

Experience

Less than 1 year 6 Months Long Term Care (LTC) Experience (Required)
2 years LPN Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Assisted Living (AL) Setting (Preferred)
1 year RN Experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required)
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
