- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, past and present medical history, and current medication lists.
- Communicate allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients.
- Administer allergy tests and subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections.
- Conduct thorough and accurate spirometry testing.
- Perform testing and treatment in accordance with Aspire Allergy protocols and safety measures.
- Navigate the electronic health record system to record accurate patient health information.
- Greet, welcome, and appropriately direct patients and visitors.
- Answer incoming and outgoing phone calls and provide accurate information.
- Track clinical inventory and resupply it when needed.
- Ensure end-of-day reports and logs are accurate and complete.
- Follow HIPAA rules and regulations, including confidentiality of patient information.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements, including universal precautions and sharps disposal guidelines.
- Cross-train in front- and back-office duties to provide full-cycle clinic support.
- Become proficient in the practice-management side of the electronic health record.
- Obtain CT authorizations.
- Scan patient documents and medical records and attach them to charts.
- Check patients in by obtaining demographic, primary care provider, contact, and insurance information.
- Check patients out, including taking payment.
- Communicate a patient's out-of-pocket maximum.
- Send end-of-day emails to appropriate parties.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Enroll patients in their treatment of choice.
- Completed Medical Assistant program or degree.
- One or more years of Medical Assistant experience.
- One or more years of Medical Receptionist experience.
- Medical Assistant certificate, vocational nurse license, or related experience.
- Current CPR certification.
