Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance and TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Experience defining computer program requirements, designing, programming, and debugging computer-based training applications is required.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems, Sharable Content Object Reference Model, and web multimedia development tools such as HTML5 is required.
  • Experience creating software programs, including games, computer-based education, military interactive courseware, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, client/server applications, multimedia, interactive multimedia instruction, internet technology, distance learning, simulations, and virtual reality is required.
  • Experience updating, repairing, and modifying code and routines of existing software programs is required.
  • A basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Model fundamentals is required.
  • Experience sourcing, cleaning, labeling, and organizing large amounts of data used to train artificial intelligence models is required, including checking model products for accuracy, bias, robustness, compliance, reliability, and ethical operation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and analytical support while interfacing with Government and contractor organizations.
  • Review specification documents and provide comments to the appropriate Navy Review Team or Fleet Project Team.
  • Report computer program problems found during the development and maintenance of exercise scenarios by submitting the appropriate Test Observation Report, Problem Report, AEGIS Change Review Board Computer Program Change Request, or Trouble Report.
  • Review and comment on Test Observation Reports and Computer Program Change Requests or Trouble Reports to determine their impact on scenario development and maintenance.
  • Participate in meetings related to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of ACTS exercise scenarios.
  • Provide periodic on-site engineering support at the specified training, engineering, testing, and integration sites, including Navy scenario and lesson validation and Computer Program Change Request or Trouble Report analysis.
