Skillet Kitchens provides meals for inmates and staff at county-level jails and detention facilities with dietitian-approved menus that meet state and federal rules. Its Skillet Direct program lets inmates order hot, made-to-order meals via kiosks or tablets as a behavior-management privilege. Skillet Skills offers vocational training in food handling and safety, culminating in ServSafe certification to aid post-release employment. The company differentiates itself by serving regional facilities, filling gaps left by larger consolidators, and combining standard meals with an in-facility incentive program and formal inmate training to support reentry and reduce recidivism.
