About the job

Requirements
  • The candidate must have 3–7 years of full-cycle, quota-carrying closing experience in customer-facing, revenue-driving sales roles with a demonstrated track record of hitting numbers.
  • The candidate must have expertise selling within K-12 education, State, Local, Education, charter networks, or community-based educational organizations.
  • The candidate must have strong working knowledge of public school system operations, including district administrative structures, board approvals, requests for proposals, and public education funding streams such as ELO-P, ASES, 21st CCLC, and Title I.
  • The candidate must be able to self-source sales pipeline and manage high-velocity deal cycles measured in weeks rather than quarters.
  • The candidate must have consultative selling skills, including conducting deep discovery, diagnosing customer pain points, and disqualifying early when fit is lacking.
  • The candidate must be comfortable navigating ambiguous challenges, co-creating sales processes, and executing independently.
  • The candidate must be capable of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with diverse audiences and of articulating complex educational solutions simply.
  • The candidate must be proficient with CRM systems and comfortable using pipeline data to manage daily and weekly priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Carry and execute against a new-business revenue target based on deal volume and rapid sales velocity.
  • Run consultative discovery to diagnose staff capacity, instructor confidence, and curriculum gaps and deliver tailored enrichment solutions.
  • Close multi-stakeholder deals and align solution proposals with public education funding cycles.
  • Build new opportunities through outbound prospecting and qualify inbound leads and sales development representative referrals.
  • Map and target K-12 school districts, charter management organizations, and community-based organizations in California and strategic expansion territories.
  • Represent GalileoX at afterschool, expanded learning, and State, Local, Education conferences and convenings.
  • Recognize enterprise-scale opportunities and hand them off to executive sales leadership.
  • Complete the 3-to-5-week onboarding ramp and independently own end-to-end sales conversations within the first month.
  • Pressure-test pitch messaging, capture objection-handling insights, and document sales reps to codify the sales playbook.
  • Extract lessons from customer interactions to improve the go-to-market approach.
  • Adapt the approach and demeanor to diverse educational stakeholders and regional markets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, stage hygiene, next steps, and realistic close dates.
  • Forecast credibly, commit to a number, and communicate pipeline risks early.
  • Maintain documentation and follow-through across complex multi-site deals.
  • Visit camp locations from June through August when required and support teams on the ground.
