  • Bachelor’s degree+
  • 10+ years of media experience required
  • Strong knowledge of traditional media channels with an understanding of digital and SEM
  • Ability to think critically and apply a strategic approach to all plans or projects
  • Experience with MRI-Simmons, Kantar, Nielsen NMI/IMS, MediaTools, SQAD, SRDS, and other media tools
  • Lead and inspire a team of dedicated media professionals to produce the best work of their career.
  • Push the boundaries of how the department develops & communicates ideas and recommendations.
  • Ensure operational efficiency by continually evaluating team performance, and identifying process & workflow improvements to ensure adherence to media best practices.
  • Provides media planning leadership for key account(s), including participation in strategic client meetings & communication.
  • Meets with clients and Brand Leadership teams to quickly resolve performance or client experience challenges
  • Support team development & individual partner growth through regular touch-bases, providing consistent feedback.
  • Stays on the leading edge of industry trends, and creates energy among the team for fresh thinking
  • Support in development of new business presentations and represent team as needed
  • Manage team bandwidth by evaluating team allocations, monitoring burn rates and supporting the development of SOWs
  • Collaborate with other agency departments to bring strategic media perspectives to integrated teams.
  • Able to lead & train Media Planning Teams on how to develop Strategic Media & Tactical Recommendations.
  • Provides an energy level that brings new and exciting ideas, motivating other team members.
  • Maintains a positive rapport with media vendor partners, keeping up to date with the latest trends in the marketplace.
  • Able to identify creative ways to use data & proven media approaches to solve unique client challenges.
  • Updates SVP, Media Planning on current team status, escalating challenges as needed.
  • Evaluates current Planning resources and proactively identifies opportunities for additional tools needed to stay on top of current trends and to ensure the team is delivering strong strategic recommendations to our clients.
  • Reviews and provides constructive feedback for client-facing work.
