About the job
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; the employer uses E-Verify.
- Must hold current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or obtain them within the first 30 days of employment.
- Must have basic knowledge of cardiovascular, sectorized, and free-weight equipment.
- Must be able to work productively unsupervised and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must be personable, organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Must provide outstanding customer service.
- Must have schedule flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, squat, reach, and lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Greet members and guests warmly with a hello or eye contact.
- Perform assigned cleaning duties and maintain sanitation of fitness areas and equipment.
- Rack weights and accessories after use and educate members on the proper protocol.
- Instruct users on proper equipment use.
- Offer tips on stretching.
- Help check out and check in locked equipment for members.
- Determine and respond to member needs and inquiries.
- Communicate and enforce Club policies and promote safety in fitness areas.
- Report problem users to the manager.
