About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in high-performing environments such as Chief of Staff roles, strategic operations, management consulting, venture capital or private equity, business development, or startup leadership positions.
  • Be AI-native, with a record of experimenting with AI, building small tools, automating workflows, and sharing findings.
  • Demonstrated success taking ambiguous, complex initiatives and driving them to completion.
  • Strong systems thinking and process design capability, including building scalable infrastructure rather than only executing tasks.
  • Exceptional project management and coordination skills across concurrent workstreams with competing priorities and timelines.
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana or Notion, and Slack, and intermediate to advanced comfort with AI-powered productivity tools.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable briefs for different audiences.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and responsible business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the founder to translate priorities, initiatives, and strategic vision into sequenced plans with clear owners, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Own end-to-end execution of founder-level special projects and organizational initiatives, from scoping and planning through delivery and measurement.
  • Maintain focus and accountability across the founder's portfolio of priorities, proactively identifying conflicts, dependencies, and risks.
  • Prepare executive materials, including strategy briefs, decision memos, board materials, and organizational roadmaps, to drive alignment and support decision-making.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the founder by pressure-testing ideas, surfacing options and trade-offs, and ensuring initiatives align with company strategy and capacity.
  • Build and continuously improve internal operating systems for hiring infrastructure, resource allocation, team capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Design and implement hiring systems to support the 2026 growth target of 25–30+ people, including interview frameworks, candidate evaluation rubrics, and onboarding processes.
  • Own organization-wide resource allocation and capacity planning, ensuring people are working on appropriate priorities and are not stretched unsustainably thin.
  • Establish leadership meeting cadences, decision-making frameworks, communication protocols, and reporting structures that create alignment without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement solutions that increase organizational velocity while maintaining quality.
  • Orchestrate complex cross-functional initiatives involving leadership and multiple teams.
  • Coordinate and solve problems when initiatives span departments or require trade-offs between competing priorities.
  • Represent the founder's office in internal discussions, ensuring the founder's priorities and perspective are understood when the founder cannot attend.
  • Build working relationships across the organization and act in the company's best interest to get work done.
  • Ensure clear internal communication about company strategy, priorities, and decisions by translating founder-level thinking into actionable guidance.
  • Prepare the founder for key meetings, presentations, and decisions by providing context, background materials, and recommended talking points.
  • Maintain visibility on organizational health metrics and key initiatives, and proactively surface issues and opportunities to leadership.
  • Potentially lead AI transformation projects with clients, manage CEOs at client organizations, drive sales initiatives, partner with Recruiting to find and close talent, manage client project delivery, drive value through client data and analytics, and lead client go-to-market initiatives.
  • Own special projects and drive organizational initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Build infrastructure such as go-to-market motions, resource allocation, and operational rhythms to support growth.
  • Travel occasionally (10–25%) for company offsites, key events, and leadership meetings.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth startups, venture studios, or AI/technology companies.
  • Background in talent operations or organizational design.
  • Proven success driving business development in B2B environments.
  • Exposure to board-level strategy and operations.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant field.
