Quality Control Manager
About the job
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality control manager.
- Experience with quality control procedures and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, customer focus, accountability, meticulousness, and responsibility.
- Manage all manufacturing plant quality control activities.
- Work on the production floor with production supervisors and the manufacturing engineer to resolve quality inconsistency issues and reduce rejects.
- Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
- Implement corrective and containment actions and ensure their effectiveness.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Ensure execution of incoming, in-process, and final product quality inspections according to the inspection plan.
- Supervise three quality control team members and provide guidance and feedback.
- Monitor manufacturing audits and quality procedure execution to identify deviations.
- Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
- Support creation of quality control documents, including forms, procedures, and supplier quality requirements.
- Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Support resolution of customer complaints.
- Contact suppliers regarding product nonconformities or potential improvements and follow up on their corrective actions.
- Maintain calibration requirements for inspection and test equipment.
- Cooperate with management to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-quality costs.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015.
