Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with quality-control procedures and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, customer-focus, accountability, meticulousness, and responsibility.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all manufacturing plant quality-control activities.
  • Work on the production floor with production supervisors and the Manufacturing Engineer to resolve quality inconsistency issues and reduce rejects.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone analysis.
  • Implement corrective and containment actions and verify their effectiveness.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure execution of incoming, in-process, and final product quality inspections according to the inspection plan.
  • Supervise three quality-control team members and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Monitor manufacturing audits and execution of quality procedures to identify deviations.
  • Develop inspection plans and quality documentation for new products.
  • Support creation of quality-control forms, procedures, and supplier quality requirements.
  • Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Support resolution of customer complaints.
  • Contact suppliers regarding product nonconformities or potential improvements and follow up on their corrective actions.
  • Maintain calibration requirements for inspection and test equipment.
  • Cooperate with management to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-quality costs.
