Requirements
  • Proven track record in third-party distribution
  • Broad knowledge of the mutual fund, SMA and ETF business and sales cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships
  • Deep technical knowledge of portfolio construction
  • Ability to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent communicator with significant sales experience in the registered investment advisor space
  • Well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner
  • One or more of the following designations: Series 7, 63, 66, AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA
Responsibilities
  • Lead sales initiatives in the RIA channel
  • Identify firm and firm representatives needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs
  • Manage American Funds Distributions presence, relationships, and business results with key RIA firms
  • Deliver motivational and informative presentations
  • Collaborate with other Senior Sales Force members to identify opportunities for better investor outcomes
  • Set goals and measure performance against them
