- The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- The candidate must have three years of experience in the clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty, or a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing with two years of experience in the clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty.
- The candidate must hold a current Georgia Registered Nurse license, Nurse Compact license, or multistate license.
- The candidate must hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- The candidate must meet visual color acuity requirements when applicable to the specific unit.
- Provide supervision of the nursing operations of a unit.
- Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.
- Work with a unit-specific patient population.
- An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or another clinical specialty certification, is preferred.
