Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education is required.
  • Three to seven years of experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, keyboarding, and internet research is required.
  • Knowledge of computer diagnostic software and hardware, database entry and management, and safety regulations is required.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of safe driving history are required.
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check, criminal background check, drug screen, and required Department of Transportation medical examination is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old to drive a company vehicle.
  • Applicants must comply with on-the-job driver safety training when operating rental trucks or fleet vehicles.
  • The role requires strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, customer-service, attention-to-detail, and follow-through abilities.
  • The role requires the ability to work on concurrent projects, meet timelines, and build positive working relationships with team members, customers, and vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Service medical imaging equipment within the United States.
  • Install, inspect, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical imaging equipment and computer components according to original equipment manufacturer specifications.
  • Evaluate equipment and perform preventive maintenance, including advanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in the field while adhering to safety regulations.
  • Ensure imaging systems operate effectively to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Represent the company professionally during on-site interactions and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates, feedback, and insights to management, including the Zone Service Director.
  • Remain available to address technical issues and respond promptly to inquiries.
  • Document newly developed processes and provide training to end users.
  • Continue expanding knowledge of equipment repair and installation.
  • Support engineering competency and perform additional duties assigned to support team and organizational goals.

  • Women's health or Hologic equipment service experience.

Block Imaging refurbishes and resells used medical imaging equipment, along with parts and maintenance services. It acquires imaging devices, refurbishes them to meet safety and performance standards, and provides ongoing service to healthcare facilities. Its ownership by Siemens Healthineers and CommonSpirit Health through a joint venture gives it access to equipment and scale. The goal is to help healthcare facilities access affordable, dependable imaging by extending the life of equipment and supporting financial and technological challenges.
