Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; proficient in Microsoft Office Products Word Excel PowerPoint and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • Seven years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
  • Experience dealing with diverse interests and contentious issues.
  • Knowledge of facilitating groups of diverse stakeholders to reach consensus decisions.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; e-Verify program participation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe)
  • All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a Facility Access Authorization (Employment Authorization) by the U.S. Government Security Office
  • May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
  • Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance
  • Travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or training requirements
  • Work shall be conducted at or near Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities) area; role may work remote during COVID-19
Responsibilities
  • Lead, oversee with responsibility for coordination activities: Coordinate with the Council Chair or Vice Chair prepare agendas for meetings; develop meeting agendas and ensure materials received seven work days before meetings and distributed; ensure additional materials received 48 hours prior are emailed to primary Trustees and uploaded for presentations before meeting; coordinate among trustees between meetings to maximize efficiency; identify challenges on agenda topics requiring resolution and propose path forward; develop a schedule of deadlines for facilitator and trustees for meetings.
  • Lead, oversee with responsibility for facilitation activities: Facilitate consensus-based decision-making in meetings and conference calls; ensure meetings occur in accordance with governance documents; administer governance documents and resolve conflicts; suggest formats to promote consensus; attend all facilitated meetings in person unless agreed otherwise; maintain neutrality of facilitation team
  • Lead, oversee with responsibility for activities related to meeting documentation: Provide facilitated meeting documentation; write and distribute a draft summary within five working days; incorporate trustee edits and distribute final executive summary within three weeks; create and maintain rolling meeting topics calendar and fiscal year meeting calendar; ensure resolutions and other work products prepared and distributed within five working days; maintain and distribute logs of decisions, actions, resolutions within five working days; stay informed of council meeting topics and governance documents;
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Professional Facilitator (preferred)
  • Experience facilitating tribal, state, and federal stakeholders (preferred)
  • Knowledge of environmental law NRDA portion of CERCLA and DOI guidelines pertaining to NRDA (preferred)
  • Knowledge of applicable treaties including the Treaties of 1855 and tribal sovereign rights (preferred)
