Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of construction and/or building design experience in one or more of the following categories: on-site construction management; structural, mechanical, electrical, or architectural design; no license is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A strong commitment to safety compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards and site-specific requirements.
  • The ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation and maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations.
  • The ability to manage several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions about work in progress.
  • Advanced visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management and scheduling software such as Prolog, Procore, and Building Information Modeling 360.
  • The ability to resolve conflicts.
  • The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
  • The ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and inspect confined or underground spaces.
  • The ability to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.
  • The ability to wear hearing protection and communicate in office and job-site environments.
  • The ability to communicate laws, ordinances, plans, regulations, protocols, directives, and standard operating procedures related to the project scope in English.
  • The ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds to a height of three feet and carry or push it 50–100 feet.
  • The ability to regularly kneel, crouch, or crawl to examine project work.
  • The ability to physically access all areas and levels of the construction site.
  • The ability to work extended hours or off-shift work as construction schedules and sequences change.
  • Independent judgment, organizational skills, and critical-thinking skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate all field construction quality-control activities, including metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and ceiling installations, while collaborating with project engineers, superintendents, manufacturers, suppliers, and inspectors.
  • Support project quality personnel and field teams in executing inspections, documentation, and quality-control processes.
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining project quality-assurance and quality-control programs.
  • Support execution of the Quality Project Execution Plan and Test and Inspection Plans.
  • Monitor and review design documents to identify constructability errors or omissions.
  • Ensure adherence to project-specific safety protocols and participate in safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Coach site staff in proper means and methods for installing the company's scope and convey quality standards of practice to site teams.
  • Investigate, understand, and convey technical product properties and how they interact with scopes of work.
  • Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with local authority permitting, codes, and site specifications.
  • Facilitate company activities to ensure performance under contractual agreements.
  • Support project quality staffing needs through coordination and communication with project leadership.
  • Provide clear verbal, written, and electronic communication.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Manage inspection processes, deficiency tracking, and punch-list resolution.
  • Support project closeout documentation and turnover requirements.
  • Inspect and verify work across multiple scopes throughout the lifecycle of a hyperscale data-center construction project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience inspecting, coordinating, or supervising framing, drywall, and ceiling scopes.
  • Experience in on-site construction management or structural, mechanical, electrical, or architectural design.
