Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance functions related to inspection.
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ITAR requirements.
  • Basic understanding of J-STD-001, IPC-600, IPC-610, and IPC-620 standards.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, with knowledge of geometry and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Training and experience in mechanical inspection to ANSI standards.
  • Strong English communication skills, including the ability to create and write clear and detailed records and documents.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and work within an enterprise resource planning system.
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, depth gages, optical comparators, height gages, surface plate, coordinate measuring machine, and digital or automated inspection devices.
  • Ability to work independently, stay focused, and perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
  • U.S. person status as defined by ITAR: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform detailed inspections of materials, parts, and assemblies using precision measuring equipment.
  • Document inspection results in the enterprise resource planning system and follow the company quality management system requirements.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, final, and shipping inspections to ensure quality and conformance to customer specifications.
  • Perform First Article Inspections and generate First Article Inspection reports in accordance with AS9102.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board by inspecting material under review, processing Non-Conforming Material Reports, and completing and scanning Defective Material Reports.
  • Transport material and parts to and from various work centers for quality inspection.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing events.
