Requirements
  • BA/BS/BBA in Finance, Accounting or business degree (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in a financial, FP&A, controlling and planning role
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the manufacturing environment (preferably in automotive industry)
  • 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in a financial function
  • Advanced experience and know-how in the area of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Prior leadership experience with proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to success and performance
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Ability and flexibility to both compromise and stand firm for financial decisions in an ever-changing environment
  • German language skill helpful
Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate long-range planning activities for plant’s financial requirements
  • Evaluate and perform plausibility check based on manufacturing shops’ financial and headcount requests
  • Set long-range financial and headcount targets based on agreed-upon project targets and long-range production volume/structure premise
  • Establish first set of annual targets by shop that’s consistent with the long-range planning
  • Evaluate financial and headcount needs arise from new project introduction, mid-life cycle updates and package changes during the year
  • Establish a long-range business plan and identify areas of risks and opportunities
  • Perform business case evaluations and make recommendations
  • Conduct make vs. buy/in-house vs. outsource analysis and make recommendations
  • Establish long-range invest needs for non-project/product related activities
  • Maintain routine dialog/network collaboration with both corporate colleagues and group associates overseas
  • Act as key contact partner to corporate/group financial colleague
  • Lead and coach team of controllers to maximize team effectiveness and talent development
  • Perform analysis in comparison to critical financial figures
  • Summarize long-range financial targets and present to various levels of management
  • Represent finance organization in carrying out finance initiatives
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
