About the company

Hera Women's Health creates a national network of women’s health practices by acting as a practice consolidator. It partners with OB-GYN and maternal-fetal medicine providers, allowing them to maintain clinical autonomy while receiving back-office support, better payor contracts, and shared resources. The company uses a scalable, data-driven partnership model that standardizes care through technology, data collection, and evidence-based clinical protocols so practices can reduce operating costs and complications and improve patient outcomes. Hera differentiates itself by combining network-scale collaboration with centralized administration and contract leverage, enabling providers to operate more efficiently while delivering consistent, higher-quality care. Its goal is to improve healthcare for women and babies at a national level by lowering costs and enhancing clinical results through a unified, data-informed approach.

Teachers Health Trust focusing on female cancer prevention and screening Education.

Teachers Health Trust focusing on female cancer prevention and screening Education. The nonprofit health insurance plan for educators in Clark County, Nevada, Teachers Health Trust (THT) is focusing efforts on specifically educating its female members on the cancer prevention and treatment services available as September marks gynecologic cancer awareness month and October is breast cancer awareness month. "Seventy-six percent of THT primary members are female, which means our nation's startling cancer statistics are especially relevant to our members," stated Tom Zumtobel, THT CEO, citing the following statistics: * Five women die from breast cancer every hour, and * Every six minutes, a woman is diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer such as uterine, cervical or ovarian cancer. "We are working hard at THT to provide our members timely and affordable access to early screenings, cancer treatment and support services," said Zumtobel. THT members receive 100% coverage for oncology and hematology visits at Starling Oncology (formerly The Oncology Institute of Hope & Innovation), with chemotherapy also covered at 100%. Hematology appointments are typically available within 10 days, and oncology appointments within 5 days. The Starling/THT collaboration eliminates bureaucracy and the need for pre-authorization for a visit. THT members can be seen and get the care they need right away instead of waiting weeks for insurance to approve an appointment. With a team of world-class oncology and hematology specialists, Starling Oncology has some of the finest cancer and hematology specialists in the United States. They are experts in all forms of cancer and the various treatments - including cutting-edge options. Medical professionals agree that the most important thing in cancer care is early detection. Many cancers can be cured at 90-plus percent if diagnosed early. THT also partners with HERA Women's Health through THT's Health Investment Network to provide members with access to OB/GYN care for preventive care and screenings like pelvic exams, mammograms, and Pap smears. BRCA1 and BRCA2 testing is also covered 100% when medically indicated as part of THT's 100% covered preventive care. For members dealing with a cancer diagnosis, behavioral health support is available and covered 100 percent through THT's Health Investment Network providers to help members cope with the stress, anxiety, and emotional impact of navigating treatment. Additionally, virtual care is available through MDLive, which features several services including free therapy and psychiatry. Over the coming weeks, THT will be sharing more information on these topics with its members, who can learn more about cancer care and even book hematology and oncology appointments online at https://www.ththealth.org/resources/oncologyhematology/. About Teachers Health Trust In October 1983, the Clark County School District (CCSD) and Clark County Education Association (CCEA) collaborated to establish the Teachers Health Trust (THT) as the health plan for its educators. It is a self-funded, nonprofit health insurance plan available to all CCSD (and other partner charter schools) educators and their dependents in Clark County, Nevada.
