Responsibilities
  • Develop a customer portfolio through prospecting, customer retention, and growth of existing accounts.
  • Analyze customer needs and advise on useful services.
  • Propose suitable sales approaches based on feasibility, timelines, and cost.
  • Follow up on visits and sales files, entering them in Cargowise.
  • Meet annual quantified targets set by Sales Management.
  • Follow internal processes and promote the company's and group's values to customers.
  • Maintain regular contact with overseas offices and agents, as well as partners.
  • Identify and record sales opportunities, then convert them into concrete, sustainable business.

Sep 07, 2026 * Röhlig Logistics has appointed Hector Midolo as Regional CEO LATAM, succeeding Michael Gerding. * Midolo will lead the freight forwarder's continued growth and development across Latin America. * Gerding will take on a new leadership role at OnBoard Logistics in October 2026. Röhlig Logistics announces a leadership change in the Latin America region: Michael Gerding, Regional CEO LATAM, stepped down from his position on 31 August 2026 and will take on a new leadership role at OnBoard Logistics on 1 October 2026. With effect from 1 September 2026, Hector Midolo has assumed the role of Regional CEO LATAM at Röhlig Logistics. "Latin America remains an important region for Röhlig, with strong potential for further development. With Hector Midolo, we have a leader who already knows our business in the Americas and can build on the progress made in recent years. This leadership transition supports continuity for our customers, partners and colleagues in the region," says Philip W. "Michael Gerding has made a significant contribution to the development of Röhlig in Latin America over more than two decades. Michael Gerding's move to OnBoard Logistics is taking place with the full support of the owners and leadership teams of both companies. Hector Midolo is an experienced logistics executive with many years in senior roles within the industry. He joined Röhlig in January 2025 as Chief Commercial Officer LATAM and Head of Global Sales for the Americas. In this role, he was responsible for commercial business development in Latin America as well as the expansion of global customer relationships in the Americas region. Röhlig updates Realtime platform. Röhlig Logistics has launched the next generation of Röhlig Realtime, a single digital platform to manage quotations, shipments, purchase orders, reporting, and insights in one place. The new version combines core functions with a more modern and intuitive user experience. A redesigned dashboard gives teams an instant overview of active shipments, upcoming milestones, alerts, and notifications, while live tracking and deep search make it easier to monitor cargo and find relevant information quickly. Customers can generate spot quotations for standard shipments on demand, access shipment documents centrally and move between purchase orders and their related data within one seamless workflow. Reporting and insights tools turn operational data into actionable findings as costs, transit times, transport modes, and trade lanes are visible at a glance.

Röhlig extends WeCare network.

Röhlig extends WeCare network. Röhlig Logistics has extended its healthcare and life science GDP WeCare programme with certification of its branches in Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne and extending its network to 13 countries. The programme has been developed in alignment with international Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines, including WHO and EU regulations. Going beyond standard GDP requirements, it enables the forwarder to proactively manage quality and compliance in an increasingly complex regulatory environment through market-specific compliance measures, enhanced training protocols, and proactive quality management. The certification focuses on key pillars of pharmaceutical logistics compliance, including temperature-controlled transport, deviation management, supplier qualification, risk assessment, and documentation standards. Global head of healthcare and life sciences, Juancarlos Cruz, said: "By implementing our own policy and programme, we ensure consistency across our global network while proactively managing risks and strengthening reliability for our healthcare customers." Röhlig plans to certify additional branches worldwide in 2026.
