Requirements
  • Troubleshoot macOS and Apple hardware, including system settings, user accounts, permissions, common failure patterns, and failing components.
  • Troubleshoot home and small-office networks, including Wi-Fi coverage, router configuration, DNS, VPNs, and printers, while assisting non-technical users remotely.
  • Provide patient and clear customer service to frustrated teachers, coaches, staff, families, and parents.
  • Have 5+ years of customer-facing work experience.
  • Have 2–3 years of hands-on IT experience in helpdesk, desktop support, or IT operations.
  • Live in Austin, Texas, and work onsite at the downtown Austin location.
Responsibilities
  • Take escalated Tier 2 tickets from staff, coaches, and families, investigate root causes, and resolve issues end to end.
  • Provision and configure devices for people working remotely and guide them through setting up their home work environments.
  • Diagnose home network and small-office issues, often over a call or screen share.
  • Track hardware through its lifecycle, including ordering, deployment, repairs, and replacement.
  • Write and maintain runbooks and knowledge base articles so common fixes are repeatable and users can resolve simple problems themselves.
  • Reproduce issues, rule out causes, implement fixes, and document findings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working at a managed service provider or IT firm while supporting multiple clients and environments.
  • Experience managing Apple devices with a mobile device management platform such as Jamf, Kandji, or Mosyle.
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Freshservice, or Jira Service Management.
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification, or an Apple support certification.
  • Experience supporting a school or working directly with students and families.
