Requirements
A Class A Commercial Driver’s License with at least 2 years of verifiable experience is required.
A current Department of Transportation medical card is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required within 30 days of hire.
A Hazardous Materials endorsement is required within 90 days of hire.
Registration in the Department of Transportation Clearinghouse is required.
A clean driving record for at least the last 3 years is required.
Applicants must pass a background check and drug test.
Experience hauling heavy equipment is required.
Applicants must be able to drive manual-transmission trucks.
Drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck.
The role requires lifting, crawling, pulling, frequent use of hands, bending, reaching, and climbing, as well as significant physical strength and stamina.
Responsibilities
Maneuver tractors and trailers into loading and unloading positions, following crew signals and ensuring safe positioning.
Pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as needed.
Load and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and assist others as required.
Secure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, and similar equipment.
Operate multi-axle trailers to transport heavy equipment.
Use GPS mapping effectively.
Work in all weather conditions.
Build customer relationships and provide solutions.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company.
Pursue continuous improvement by adopting new tools and processes.
Promote company opportunities and referrals.

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transportis seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to join our team! We’re looking for Class A CDL drivers with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This local/regional position involves hauling high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience required
Current DOT Medical Card required
TWIC Card (required within 30 days of hire)
HAZMAT endorsement (required within 90 days of hire)
Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
Clean driving record (required for at least the last 3 years)
MUST be able to pass a background check and drug test
Experience with heavy equipment hauling required
MUST be able to drive manual transmission trucks
Commission Pay:
25% Commission
Minimum pay guarantee offered
This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
