Requirements
  • Over 2 years of experience shipping products as a product manager in an agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment
  • Experience working on complex user scenarios with multiple personas interacting through the tool
  • Experience understanding intricate systems and partnering with Design to deliver simple yet powerful user experiences
  • Detail-oriented and enjoy polishing the experience of customers
  • Experience defining a strategic roadmap, leveraging multiple inputs such as user research, customer data and company initiatives
  • Ability to communicate and articulate the strategy and roadmap to execs, team members, and customers
  • Experience working with engineering teams as a product owner and leading cross-functional teams to ship high-quality products
  • Ability to work directly with senior engineers and understand technical concepts and trade-offs
  • Strong communicator and can lead teams through difficult decisions
  • Strong data skills in quantitative analytics and qualitative user research
  • Ability to handle many concurrent projects and re-prioritize without needing guidance
Responsibilities
  • Deeply engage with GTM customers (sales, marketing, enablement leaders) to unearth common workflows, pain points, and agent interaction models
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to create a strategic roadmap, prioritize problems, and define requirements, then manage the backlog through the product development process from discovery to general availability
  • Become an expert on our software, customers, and our market, and be able to identify, prioritize, and execute both tactical and strategic projects
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams, such as executives, product marketing, and customer success, ensuring their objectives are met, their opinions are considered, and plans are effectively communicated
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to inform the shaping of requirements, features, and end products
  • Dig deep into customer and usage data to identify opportunities and evaluate the success of our efforts
  • Work closely with industry experts to understand industry direction and trends and identify R&D opportunities that can set us apart from the competition
  • Balance rapid innovation with enterprise-grade requirements (security, compliance, usability)
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with CRM systems and/or shipping platform/product integrations
  • Experience managing products for sales, marketing, or other customer-facing teams
  • Experience in consumer or B2B SaaS and understand the mechanics and economics of a SaaS business
  • Technical degree or equivalent work experience

Seattle's Highspot merges with rival Seismic in major sales software deal

Seattle-based Highspot is merging with rival Seismic in a major sales enablement software deal. The combined company will operate under the Seismic name and be led by Seismic CEO Rob Tarkoff, whilst Highspot founder Robert Wahbe will join the board. Permira, which has backed San Diego-based Seismic since 2020, will remain the controlling shareholder. Financial terms were not disclosed. The merger unites two leading players in revenue enablement software, which helps sales, marketing and customer success teams manage content, training and analytics. Highspot, founded in 2011, ranks first on GeekWire 200's list of Pacific Northwest tech companies and employs over 1,000 people. Its most recent valuation was $3.5 billion in 2022, when it raised $248 million. Seismic reached a $3 billion valuation in 2021 and serves approximately 2,000 customers globally.
