About the Job

Requirements

Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-6012, and IPC-TM-650.
Ability to interpret soldering and printed circuit board defects.
Experience operating microscopes and laboratory tools.
Ability to generate technical reports and support failure analysis.

Responsibilities

Cut and encapsulate PCBAs or components.
Grind and polish samples.
Prepare samples appropriately for microscopic inspection.
Evaluate copper thickness and uniformity; solder joint integrity; material delamination, voids, and defects; solder bond structures; intermetallic layer conditions; BGA joints and other special processes; and perform Dye and Pry analysis.
Operate specialized cutting machines, polishing and micro-sectioning equipment, optical microscopes, measurement systems, and image-analysis software.
Capture images, measure and record results, prepare X-Section technical reports, and issue conclusions and recommendations.
Support SMT and Through-Hole process validations, quality-criteria evaluations, customer complaint analysis, root-cause investigations, and material and product validation.

Máquinas de corte.
Equipos de pulido y micro-seccionado.
Microscopios ópticos y sistemas de medición.
Software de análisis de imágenes.

Documentación y reportes

Captura de imágenes.
Medición y registro de resultados.
Elaboración de reportes técnicos de X-Section.
Emisión de conclusiones y recomendaciones.

Soporte a Ingeniería y Calidad

Validaciones de procesos SMT y Through-Hole.
Evaluaciones de criterios de calidad.
Análisis de quejas de cliente.
Participacion en investigaciones de causa raíz.
Validación de materiales y productos.

Perfil requerido:

Conocimiento de IPC-A-610, IPC-6012 e IPC-TM-650.
Interpretación de defectos de soldadura y PCB.
Manejo de microscopios y herramientas de laboratorio.
Capacidad para generar reportes técnicos y apoyar análisis de falla.
