  • One year of experience as a medical assistant is preferred, although the practice is willing to train.
  • A high school diploma is required.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize the electronic medical record system.
  • Assist physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties.
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history.
  • Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
  • Assist physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and materials.
  • Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations.
  • Maintain work practices that comply with established office policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and peers.
  • Oversee and ensure that patients’ needs are met and that patients are served efficiently and courteously.
  • Respond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient examinations.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and greet and check in patients professionally, courteously, and promptly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree.
