Requirements
  • Academic education in Accounting, Management, or a similar area.
  • Basic knowledge of the Portuguese Accounting Standards System (SNC).
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze contracts, invoices, and supporting documents related to investments and assets, such as ships, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Assess expenditures to categorize them as CAPEX (investment), OPEX (operating expense), or deferred expense in accordance with applicable accounting standards (SNC).
  • Support the initial accounting recognition, correct valuation, and depreciation of assets.
  • Collaborate on reconciliation and control of fixed-asset and deferred-expense accounts.
  • Ensure the criteria used to classify expenditures are recorded and documented.
  • Participate in preparing internal reports and audits, providing technical support on investment categorization.
  • Stay up to date on changes in accounting standards and good practices for asset control.
