Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Nurse First Assistant program (RNFA) is required
Valid New Jersey Nursing License is required
Basic Life Support certification is required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required
Three years current operating room experience
Experience in general, orthopedic, ear, nose, throat, podiatry, urology and plastics strongly preferred
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
Excellent communication and computer skills

Responsibilities

Support Physicians in various operative procedures including but not limited to general, vascular and plastic/cosmetic procedures
Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
Collaborate with all members of the health care team through the model of Shared Governance with a focus on evidenced based care
Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of the job

Experience in plastics strongly preferred

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse First Assist for the Operating Room at Hackettstown Medical Center hours vary. Call on weekends as required.

Support Phycians in various operative procedures including but not limited to general, vascular and plastic/cosmetic procedures.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Graduate from an accredited RNFA program required

Education:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

License/Certifications:

Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
BLS
ACLS

Relevant Experience:

3 years current OR experience
Experience in general, ortho, ENT, podiatry, urology and plastics strongly preferred

Minimum Salary (Hourly Rate): 50.150000

Maximum Salary (Hourly Rate): 88.280000
