Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale data systems
  • Deep expertise in cloud-based relational databases, such as Aurora Relational Database Service (MySQL), for transactional systems
  • Experience with cloud-based analytical databases, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, for advanced analytics. Familiarity with Snowflake Intelligence, Cortex AI, or AI/ML integrations is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow), and scripting using Python, Java, or Bash
  • Experience with AI/ML workflows using Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn, particularly with AWS SageMaker
  • Experience conducting vendor evaluations and assessing emerging technologies, such as vector databases and in-memory document/object databases, to guide strategic adoption
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and helping teammates grow, while effectively communicating across technical and business stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Design and build scalable data systems and automated processes that power our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to deliver scalable data integrations and transformation pipelines while shaping the underlying data architecture for transactional and analytical use cases
  • Enable AI and ML initiatives by designing and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that support predictive models and automation in Marketing, Pricing, and Customer Service
  • Elevate platform stability by driving best practices, automation, and monitoring across the data ecosystem
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and integrate valuable concepts to continuously enhance our data architecture and capabilities
  • Mentor and support teammates, helping them stay unblocked, productive, and challenged to grow
  • Champion engineering best practices, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to set realistic delivery expectations, navigate trade-offs, and solve complex technical challenges
  • Take full ownership of major data initiatives, designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions that advance key business objectives

Vivid Seats cuts costs by $60M annually amid industry downturn and marketplace decline

Vivid Seats reported fourth quarter 2025 results and outlined a strategic reset focused on product innovation, cost discipline and leadership changes. The company named Joe Thomas as CFO in January and Austin Arnett as General Counsel in December. Management achieved $60 million in annualised cost savings across marketing, G&A and stock-based compensation. The company also terminated its Tax Receivable Agreement and collapsed its dual-class share structure to reduce complexity. Fourth quarter marketplace gross order value fell to $581 million from $994 million year-over-year, pressured by industry-wide volume declines and the loss of a large private label customer in early Q3 2025. Vivid Seats launched a ChatGPT app to improve event discovery and capture consumer intent in real-time.

Vivid Seats reports $721.5M net loss as marketplace GOV falls 31% to $2.7B in 2025

Vivid Seats, a US ticket marketplace, reported fourth quarter revenues of $126.8 million, down 37% from $199.8 million in Q4 2024. Marketplace gross order value fell 42% to $580.6 million. The company posted a net loss of $428.7 million, compared with a $4.4 million loss the previous year. For full year 2025, revenues declined 26% to $570.8 million, whilst marketplace GOV dropped 31% to $2,704.6 million. The company recorded a net loss of $721.5 million, versus net income of $14.3 million in 2024. Adjusted EBITDA fell to $41.8 million from $151.4 million. Chief executive Lawrence Fey cited improved momentum from enhanced app features and cost reduction initiatives. The company provided Q1 2026 guidance and reaffirmed its full-year outlook.
