About the company

Inspiration Corporation provides social services, housing support, job training, and meals, and operates Inspiration Kitchens, a social enterprise restaurant in Chicago. It works by partnering with individuals in need, using the cafe as a training ground where participants gain skills, earn wages, and build resumes while serving customers. It differs from many programs by combining essential services with a real restaurant that trains and hires people who face barriers, under a dignity-first approach. Its goal is to help people achieve lasting independence by connecting them to opportunities, training, and stable housing and food resources.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • September 2026 H1 revenue hit £22.0 million, with strong underlying SLE momentum.
  • Airon revenues rose 40% in H1 FY27, helped by the US healthcare contract.
  • Net debt stayed near £5.2 million, supporting buybacks and continued deleveraging.

What critics are saying

  • FY26 revenue depended on £9.5 million of one-off export orders, masking core volatility.
  • Micrel infusion transfer removes diversification and increases dependence on fewer neonatal products.
  • UK remote gaming duty is irrelevant; the real existential risk is lumpy export-order concentration.

What makes Inspiration unique

  • SLE neonatal ventilators anchor FY26 revenue, with 38% underlying H1 growth.
  • Micrel transfer makes Inspiration Healthcare a focused neonatal medtech business after January 2027.
  • Airon secured a three-year US hospital agreement, building recurring consumables and servicing revenue.
