Convera appoints four senior leaders to accelerate its global money movement platform. Oct 13, 2026, 07:00 ET Senior appointments strengthen Convera's ability to help customers move money globally with greater speed, visibility, and control. SEATTLE and LONDON, Oct. 13, 2026 /CNW/ - Convera, a global leader in commercial payments, today announced four senior leadership appointments: Mike Cahill as EVP and Chief Operating Officer; Jon Southall as SVP and Chief Technology Officer; Tui Allen as SVP and Chief Product Officer; and Chris Steinig as Chief Information Officer. Together, they bring extensive experience in building and scaling global payments, product, technology and operational platforms. They will lead the execution of Convera's roadmap for an integrated global money movement platform that combines cross-border payments, FX risk management and multi-currency capabilities for businesses. Convera's strategy is built on a simple premise: as agentic commerce emerges and volatility persists, businesses operating across borders need integrated solutions. They need to send, receive and hold money in the currencies they trade in, manage FX exposure at the point of payment, and route transactions across the most appropriate payment rail for speed, cost and visibility. "Businesses don't just need faster or less expensive cross-border payments. They need to know where their money is, what it is worth and how to protect it as it moves," said Patrick Gauthier, Group CEO at Convera. "That is the opportunity in front of Convera. Our global reach, FX expertise, regulatory depth and customer relationships enable us to solve that problem in a way few providers can. Mike, Jon, Tui and Chris are proven leaders with the experience, judgement and execution discipline to help us deliver for customers. Each brings a distinct perspective, and together they give us the leadership depth to advance our roadmap for integrated cross-border money movement." Advancing customer-led execution Mike Cahill has been appointed EVP and Chief Operating Officer, leading Convera's combined Product, Technology and Operations organization. Since joining Convera in June 2026 as Interim Chief Product and Technology Officer, he has focused on bringing these functions together to deliver a more connected customer experience. Cahill has scaled mission-critical financial platforms and led complex transformations at Early Warning Services, the company behind Zelle, as well as at PayPal, Boku and American Express. Jon Southall joins as SVP and Chief Technology Officer from PayPal, where he managed the Large Enterprise Platform, which supports more than $1.5 trillion in annual transaction volume. He has also built scaled payment platforms at Boku and Braintree. His experience in high-volume infrastructure will help Convera deliver faster, more reliable and more visible money movement for customers. Tui Allen joins as SVP and Chief Product Officer from Ticketmaster/Live Nation, where she helped modernize product experiences at scale. She previously built new solutions at Shopify. Allen brings experience translating complex customer needs into scalable products that are easier to use, integrate and adopt. Chris Steinig has been appointed Chief Information Officer after leading Convera's technology operations. A 25-year veteran of the company, he brings deep knowledge of Convera's systems, infrastructure and operating environment. Steinig will connect platform modernization, enterprise technology and operational resilience to help ensure the company delivers its roadmap with the reliability and control customers expect. "This team brings complementary strengths across product, technology and operations, backed by experience delivering at global scale," said Mike Cahill, EVP and Chief Operating Officer at Convera. "Our focus is disciplined execution: translating customer needs into products, modernizing the technology that supports them and delivering consistently in every market we serve. That is how we will make cross-border money movement simpler, more connected and more valuable for our customers." These appointments build on Convera's continued investment in technology, product delivery and commercial capabilities. This includes Multi-Currency Accounts and APIs that allow banks, fintechs and business platforms to embed Convera's payments and FX risk management capabilities into their own customer experiences. PayDo selects Convera to expand SWIFT receivables and onward cross-border payments. * Payments * 06.10.2026 02:20 pm The collaboration brings expanded SWIFT receive capabilities into PayDo's existing platform, helping customers manage incoming and onward international payments through a more connected experience. By bringing Convera's global payment capabilities into PayDo's existing platform, customers will be able to receive funds via SWIFT and manage onward payment flows through a more connected experience, without PayDo having to build the underlying capability independently. Extending SWIFT receive capabilities without additional banking infrastructure. For payment providers, enabling clients to receive funds via SWIFT can require additional banking relationships and significant supporting infrastructure. Through its partnership with Convera, PayDo can extend this capability through its existing platform, reducing the need to build and manage that infrastructure independently. The integration also strengthens the way payments move through PayDo's platform. Connecting PayDo's client experience with Convera's global payment network delivers fewer provider relationships, easier reconciliation, and a clearer receive-to-onward-payment workflow. PayDo processes over €5 billion annually for more than a thousand businesses across e-commerce, digital goods, iGaming, and financial services. Its model is built on reducing the fragmentation that can force businesses to maintain separate relationships for acquiring, accounts, payouts, and currency conversion. Convera extends that approach to receiving and moving funds internationally, giving PayDo a way to add SWIFT receive capabilities through its existing platform. "Our aim is to give businesses one simpler way to manage the different stages of their payment journey", - said Serhii Zakharov, CEO and founder of PayDo. "Working with Convera enables us to extend how clients receive international funds through the PayDo platform and move them onward with less operational complexity". Convera combines global payment infrastructure with more than 40 years of foreign exchange and cross-border payments expertise, moving nearly $200 billion in payments annually. Its network supports more than 140 currencies across 200+ countries and territories. Bringing that scale and capability into PayDo's platform will help create a more connected experience for businesses receiving and moving money internationally. "Growing businesses need international payments to work as one connected flow, not as a series of separate accounts, providers and integrations", - said Meaghan Riley, Chief Commercial Officer at Convera. "By combining PayDo's client experience with Convera's global payments network and expertise, we are making it simpler for businesses to receive and move money internationally as they grow". Building a more connected international payment experience. Working with Convera, supports PayDo's strategy of bringing complementary payment capabilities into one client experience. By extending that model to international payment receipt and onward processing, PayDo can serve a broader range of customer payment needs while maintaining a simpler, more connected experience.
Convera and JustLogin partner to enable cross-border payroll and payments across Singapore and Southeast Asia. Sep 20, 2026, 21:00 ET * Partnership brings regulated, multi-currency payments into everyday HR workflows, supporting companies as they scale teams, payroll and operations SEATTLE, Wash. and LONDON, Sept. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Convera, a global leader in commercial payments, and JustLogin, an AI-Powered Singapore-based human resource cloud platform operating for the last 26 years, today announced a partnership that brings embedded cross-border payroll and business payment capabilities directly into the HR workflows. The partnership is designed to support companies operating and expanding across Singapore and Southeast Asia where hiring, managing and paying teams across multiple countries and currencies is now a prerequisite for regional growth. Through the integration, JustLogin customers will be able to initiate payroll and employee-related payments in up to 16 currencies from within the JustLogin platform, while Convera manages the underlying cross-border payment execution. The result: faster salary disbursement, improved visibility, and reduced operational complexity for companies managing distributed workforces across the region. "Growing companies should not have to choose between regional expansion and payroll confidence. By embedding Convera's global payments capabilities directly into JustLogin's HR platform, we're making it easier for businesses to hire, pay and scale across Southeast Asia with greater speed, visibility and control", said Patrick Gauthier, Group CEO of Convera, "This partnership reflects a broader shift we're seeing in the market, as payments become more deeply embedded into the platforms businesses already use to run their operations." As businesses across Southeast Asia build more distributed and regional workforces, payroll is becoming more than an administrative function. It is increasingly connected to employee experience, operational resilience, and the ability to expand into new markets with confidence. The Convera and JustLogin partnership brings together HR technology and embedded financial services to help businesses manage this complexity through a single, integrated experience. Designed for regulated environments, the integration allows payment activity to be initiated within JustLogin, with essential transaction data shared securely with Convera at the point of payment. Payment status and confirmations are then returned to the JustLogin dashboard, giving HR and finance teams visibility without disrupting existing workflows. As the licensed payment processor, Convera conducts customer onboarding and KYC checks and operates under the oversight of more than 60 regulators worldwide Cross-border payroll and B2B payouts represent a significant and growing segment of Southeast Asia's payments landscape, with the regional B2B payments market estimated at approximately USD 44.5 billion in 2024 and projected to exceed USD 105 billion by 2033. As Singapore-based and multinational businesses expand across the region, navigating multiple currencies, payment rails, and regulatory regimes has become an increasing challenge. Embedding regulated cross-border payments into HR platforms helps remove a major barrier into regional expansion. "As our customers expand across markets, payroll and payments have become a critical part of both employee experience and corporate reputation," said KC Kwa, CEO, JustLogin. "In an environment marked by regulatory change and currency volatility, this partnership provides the governance, resilience, and confidence our customers need to keep payroll compliant, accurate, and seamless - without compromising trust." The solution also leverages select government-backed fast payment rails to accelerate salary disbursement across the region, including Singapore's FAST, Malaysia's DuitNow, and InstaPay in the Philippines. The Convera and JustLogin integration is available to JustLogin customers in Singapore and across supported Southeast Asian markets, helping businesses build, manage and pay regional workforces through a more connected HR and payments experience. Students can now pay school fees through Flutterwave and Convera's new global tie-up. Flutterwave and Convera are partnering to give students more flexible, multi-method tuition payment options across regions. Flutterwave is partnering with global cross-border payments firm Convera to expand flexible tuition payment options for students paying higher-education fees across regions, the African payments company said in a post on X. The partnership aims to give students alternative payment methods so they can pay however works best for them. The move extends Flutterwave's existing Tuition product, which lets students or their guardians pay school fees directly into a university's account within about 48 hours using local currency or another currency. Tuition already supports payments to more than 40 UK institutions, with users in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and South Africa able to pay via debit or credit cards, Google Pay, and bank transfer in Nigeria, according to coverage of the product's launch. Convera operates GlobalPay for Students, an international tuition payment platform that supports payments in over 140 currencies across 200+ countries and territories. Students can use bank transfers, wires, credit or debit cards, and alternative methods such as Sofort and Trustly to pay tuition and related fees including deposits, health insurance, and accommodation. Convera also runs embedded payment solutions for the education sector, integrating GlobalPay for Students into universities' websites and management systems through partnerships like its collaboration with Ascent One, which unifies applications, payments, and commission tracking for education agents. Flutterwave's Tuition mechanism requires users to sign up, select a school from a drop-down list, upload the school fees invoice, add student details, review the transfer, choose a payment method, and Flutterwave routes funds to the school within about 48 hours, according to the company's product documentation. The initial launch in July 2023 came as African families faced rising demand for FX to pay international school fees, a trend noted by StartupLagos and other regional outlets. A case study with Nexford University shows how Flutterwave's infrastructure already supports online universities serving African students. Nexford integrated Flutterwave's Collections and Payouts to let students in Africa pay in local currencies using cards, bank transfers, and mobile money, with transactions growing from a few thousand to tens of thousands and roughly 150% compound annual growth rate between 2021 and 2024. The tweet from Flutterwave does not include specific geography, integration depth, or launch timeline for the Convera partnership. Neither company has published a separate press release or blog post describing the integration beyond the tweet, leaving the full scope and technical details uncertain. Flutterwave's broader education messaging frames Tuition as a way to simplify FX and payment processes for African students paying overseas institutions, positioning the Convera tie-up as one more step toward making global education more accessible.
